I first threw out my back in my 20s. I did not think much of it, at the time. This became a recurring issue and when I turned 34, the pain became constant. I was not able to sleep on a flat bed without placing pillows underneath my legs. I had seen other therapists and chiropractors without significant benefit.
How were these challenges impacting your daily life/activities?
- At the time, my kids were about two and four years old. We would go on trips with them, and they would want me to carry them all the time. I had such poor core strength and carrying them would exacerbate my back pain. My wife would have to carry our children most of the time, because I physically could not. Aside from those physical limitations, my pain at a baseline was significant. Every morning was like waking up with a steel cage around my torso.
How would you describe your overall experience with your therapist and the staff?
- I remember the first time meeting the team/Kunal. I told him how I could not sleep without keeping a pillow underneath my legs. His response to me was: “Oh no, we are going to fix that”. After the session, I did not need a pillow underneath my legs to sleep. Through subsequent visits, I have been able to build up my core strength and baseline level of fitness. Right now, I am 40 years old and am doing things that I could not do when I was in my mid 30s. I have a new lease on life.
What aspects of our services stood out to you the most? (e.g., expertise, attentiveness, friendliness, customized care)
- I can not say enough about Kunal. He saved my life, and more specifically, my quality of life. The other members of his team have also been very friendly, and it oftentimes feel like you are going to a family friend’s house when you go in for a session.
How has your life or daily routine improved as a result of our care?
- I can carry my kids easier now (ages 8 and 10), than when they were 2 and 4. This is largely a testament to working with Revolve PT. I play basketball, Pickleball, do pilates, and lift weights. I am more active than I have ever been. This past year, I also participated in two sprint triathlons. None of this was imaginable several years ago.
What would you say to someone considering physical therapy at our clinic?
- I think that musculoskeletal health and well-being should be at the forefront of many people’s priorities. We only get one body in our lives. It is important to take care of it. Working with Revolve PT has helped me to ramp up level of activity in a safe way. Especially if you have had a period of inactivity and want to ramp back up, you need some help to guide you and also help with the little injuries that occur as you ramp back up.
